Pokemon AniRevo League Challenge

UBC Esports will be hosting a Pokemon Gym Leaders event all over the convention! Several ‘Gym Leaders’ will be wandering the convention wearing arm-bands with the Pokemon Gym Leaders logo and hats with pokemon on them.

Schedule:
All throughout the weekend.

Each of them can be approached and challenged to a pokemon battle with your 3ds and Pokemon Sun/Moon ( or Ultra Sun/Moon ). They will have a team of entirely one type, and can be battled in a 6v6 singles battle. Upon defeating a gym leader, they will give you a badge. If you have collected at least 5 badges you will be told to search for the pokemon professor. If you find and beat them you may go to the games room and report in. If you’re the first one to complete the challenge, you’ll receive a special prize as the AniRevo Pokemon Champion! But there will still be a consolation prize available for all attendees who complete the challenge afterwards.

AniRevo Idol 2018

Come on down to see contestants perform covers of their favourite Japanese tunes in front of loving fans, as they face off against each other for the title of AniRevo Idol 2018!

Schedule:
Preliminaries: Friday, August 3, 4:00pm to 6:00pm, Panel Room 3 – Meeting Room 121
Finals: Sunday, August 5, 2:30pm to 4:00pm, Ballroom A – Main Events

Mon夢’s first North American Appearance

We are thrilled to announce our next special guest, Mon! Hailing from Taiwan, Mon is one of the most well-known cosplayers on WorldCosplay, having a following of over 50,000 fans. Her most famous cosplays include characters from Vocaloid and Attack on Titan.

Mon is recognized not just for her incredible talent in hand-making costumes, but also the way she truly brings the characters to life through the details of the cosplay, including her own way of wig-styling and her unique sense for creating new makeup looks for every character. Behind the cosplay, Mon is known to have a fun and bubbly personality, and we can’t wait to meet her this summer!

Cosplayer Stay at AniRevo: Summer 2017

AniRevo is proud to announce another cosplay guest for AniRevo: Summer 2017, Stay!
We are incredibly excited to announce that cosplayer stayxxx will be joining us for Anirevo: Summer! Coming to us from Taiwan, stayxxx is hugely recognized for her stunning cosplays including Levi from Attack on Titan and Makoto from Free! Having first started cosplaying in high school at her manga club, her passion has since led her to become the official promotional cosplayer of games and animation such as Thunderbolt Fantasy and Tower of Saviors.

Her vision for cosplay is one that is admired by many, and we can’t wait to learn more about her at this year’s con!
