Terri Hawkes is a screenwriter, director, actor and a “narrative activist”, having worked in theatre, film, television and web series across Canada and the U.S. She has voiced a number of iconic characters including the title voices in Sailor Moon and Princess Sissi, as well as Baby Hugs and Shreeky (Care Bears), Franny in Quads, Lily in Flying Rhino Jr. High, Bianca in Beverly Hills Teens, and currently – Toast in Bee and Puppycat (Netflix).

CBC Radio Drama includes Mabel Bell as Alexander Graham Bell’s daughter, and Vivian in Vivian (ACTRA Award Finalist). On-screen favourites: Traders (Gemini Nomination) and General Hospital (Soap Opera Award Nom.) Currently she stars as Mrs. Hein in Lady Ada’s Secret Society (2023 LA Webfest Award for Best Supporting Actress – Marble Kids’ You Tube).

As a director, Ms. Hawkes voice directed the full two seasons of Flying Rhino Jr. High and occasional episodes of Sailor Moon. Terri is also a writer of film (The Book of Eve), television (Anne: The Animated Series), theatre (Rhubarb, Rhubarb, Rhubarb – Herman Voaden National Playwriting Award Finalist), and enjoyed contributing to Roland Parliament’s Sailor Moon Reflections (Friesen Press 2014) and various publications on women in the arts (Demeter Press).

Ms. Hawkes, along with Alexa and Jake Hawkes-Sackman, co-founded Art4You, supporting and mentoring youth in accessing the arts. Ms. Hawkes is honoured to join the Anime Revolution team of 2023.
