Anime Revolution is honoured to present a concert by the beautiful and exceptionally talented ORIGA! Anime fans may recognize her as the vocalist for all three opening themes of the popular anime series “Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex”, which allowed her to work with famed composer Yoko Kanno and perform together with her in several concerts. That 70’s Anime Dating Game (18+)

Have you ever seen those retro game shows where a bachelor/ette is looking for “love”? They hide behind a curtain and ask contestants questions, and after it ends they choose whoever they thought answered to their desires. Well this panel is somewhat like this, except we made it nerdy and sexual, yes, sexual. We have four lovely bachelors and bachelorettes who are ready to find their lover in all the wrong places. Please remember, it’s 18+!

Werewolf: Anime Edition: ADVANCED (18+)

Werewolf: Anime Edition is an interactive game of deduction for two teams: Villagers and Werewolves. The Villagers don’t know who the Werewolves are, and the Werewolves are trying to remain undiscovered while they slowly pick the Villagers one at a time. A Moderator (who can be any player) “runs” the game, facilitating each stage of Werewolf: Anime Edition. You will get the opportunity to play as iconic anime and game characters such as: Ash (Pokemon), Shuuichi (Gravitiation), Mori (Ouran), Alucard (Hellsing), San (Princess Mononoke), The Heavy (Team Fortress 2), and many many more!!

This is the advanced version. We will be using all the characters and you must have attended the beginner course to sign up to play the advanced.

Werewolf: Anime Edition: BEGINNER (PG)

This will be the introductory version of the game. We will only be using the basic characters and take our time explaining the rules and answering questions anyone may have. In order to participate in the advanced version, you must come to the intro course and sign up. (Advanced panel will be 18+)

Are you ready to test your My Little Pony knowledge in this themed version of the long running game show “Who Wants to be a Millionaire?” Compete against other audience members for a chance to get into the “Hot Seat” and answer a series of increasingly more difficult questions, all the way to the “One Million Dollar” question. If you get stuck don’t panic, you’ll have access to three “Life Lines” to help you: “Ask the Audience”, “50/50” and “Phone a Friend”. Are you ready to Play? Is that your Final Answer? Saving Endangered Japanese Languages Through Martial Arts (PG)

Do you think Japanese is the only language native to Japan? Guess again! Much like the First Nations’ languages of British Columbia, Japan is also home to several endangered languages identified by UNESCO. Based on research in progress at Okinawa’s University of the Ryukyus, a Canadian martial artist and resident of Okinawa will demonstrate how indigenous Okinawan languages are and could be used in karate and kobudo practice as both an innovative form of language revitalization and an effective means of teaching key Okinawan martial arts concepts. Come join The 404s as they run through some warm-up exercises and take you through the paces with some of their favourite improv games. Learn the basics, and if you have a burning question about improv you’d like answered feel free to ask away.

Wig Styling (PG)

Saturday 1:30 pm – 2:30 pm (Panel Room #2)

This panel that walks you through wig styling, from purchasing a base to advanced styling techniques such as using wire. The panel uses a combination of photos (via slideshow) and physical wig styling demonstration to teach viewers different styling methods.
