Manga Reviews

I enjoyed this manga since grade 8. Kyou Kara Ore Wa (KKOW) was the first comedy school domination manga I read. The story revolves around Mitsuhashi (the blond) and Itou (the Kappa) with side characters Ima (the fool) and Tanigawa (the weak). The manga starts off with Mitushashi moving into a new neighbourhood, where he decides to use this opportunity to become a delinquent. Upon meeting a fellow transfer student named Itou, he finds out that he wasn’t the only one.

Making friends and foes along the way, the duo takes us on a hysterical adventure. Will these two make it to the top or will they just end up as wannabes?

Majority of newer manga readers will find the drawing style of KKWO not as appealing, but beauty is only skin deep. I would read KKWO at 2am in the morning and uncontrollably burst out laughing. When Mitushashi punishes the antagonists in his evil ways, it makes you feel good about it. To this day, I’m still sad that this wonderful series has ended 2 months ago with 365 issues. KKWO in my book gets 4.5/5.
